WEDDINGS
What does your wedding videographer actually do on the day?
Our videographer is there to quietly capture the story of your day as it naturally unfolds. We work to a documentary‑led style, blending in with your guests while making sure nothing important is missed.
How many hours of coverage do we need?
Most couples choose full‑day coverage so the film feels complete, from morning prep through to the first dance. If your plans are shorter or more spread out, we can tailor the coverage to suit your timeline.
Do you work alone or with a second videographer?
We ordinarily use one videographer, which keeps the experience relaxed and unobtrusive. For larger weddings or when you want extra angles and coverage, a second videographer can be added.
Do you film both partners getting ready?
We would always aim to capture this with one videographer if you’re getting ready in the same location or close by. If you’re further apart, adding a second videographer is recommended to ensure both stories are captured.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 12–18 months ahead, especially for peak summer dates. If your date is sooner, it’s always worth checking availability.
Can we customise a package to suit our day?
Absolutely. Every wedding is different, and we're happy to adjust coverage, add‑ons, or timings to fit your plans, though this may affect the cost.
Do you offer drone footage?
Not at the moment. Our focus is capturing your day beautifully from the ground, using a discreet, cinematic approach. If drone filming becomes part of our services in the future, we'll be sure to let you know.
Do you film elopements or smaller ceremonies?
Definitely. Intimate weddings make beautiful, emotional films, and we would work with you to try making it happen.
What is your filming style?
Our style is a blend of cinematic visuals and natural documentary storytelling. We focus on genuine moments, real emotion, and the atmosphere of your day rather than staged poses.
Will you direct us, or do you capture things naturally?
Mostly natural. We would only step in gently when needed or as requested, such as couple shots or guest messages. We want you to feel comfortable and without anything feeling forced.
How do you handle low‑light situations?
We use quality DSLR cameras that perform well in low light, perfect for winter weddings and cosy venues. We keep lighting minimal so the mood stays authentic but are equipped with portable lighting if required.
Will you get in the way or be intrusive?
Not at all. Our approach is discreet and guest‑friendly.
Do you coordinate with the photographer?
Yes. Teamwork makes the day run smoothly. I always communicate with your photographer so we can work together without getting in each other’s way.
How do you capture clear audio during the ceremony and speeches?
We use clip-on microphones placed on key speakers. This ensures crisp, clean audio even in challenging environments.
Do you bring backup equipment?
Always. Cameras, audio, memory cards, everything has a backup so your film is protected.
What happens if something goes wrong with the gear?
In carrying multiple cameras and audio devices, if anything fails, the backup can be equipped relatively quickly.
Do you need access to power at the venue?
Not usually. All equipment is battery‑powered, but access to a plug is helpful during long receptions so batteries can be kept charged.
Do you use lights during the evening?
Only when absolutely necessary. If we do use lighting, it’s soft, subtle, and designed not to disrupt the atmosphere.
How long does it take to receive our finished film?
Editing is a detailed, creative and time-consuming process. Most films are delivered within 8–12 weeks, depending on the season.
What’s included in the final edit?
You’ll receive a beautifully crafted highlight film plus full‑length edits of your ceremony, speeches or guest messages.
Can we request changes to the edit?
If there are any technical issues, you can notify us within 7 days for us to revisit and tweak, if possible.
How do you choose the music?
We use fully licensed music that fits the tone and emotion of your day. We will ask you during your consultation for any music you would like including and try our best to incorporate this into your film.
Do we get the raw footage?
Most couples prefer the polished edits, but raw footage is available as an optional add‑on.
How will the films be delivered?
All packages include an e-mail link to access and download your video. The longer day packages include a physical copy on DVD and/or USB.
How long will our films stay available online?
Your video will likely be available indefinitely, but this will depend on the online storage provider.
Do you travel, and is there a travel fee?
Yes. We cover Leicestershire as standard. For weddings further afield, travel costs are kept simple and transparent.
What time do you arrive on the day?
Typically an hour before the first part of the day that we're required to film.
What do you wear while filming?
Comfortable and practical branded workwear to aid filming.
Do you need a meal provided?
A meal is always greatly appreciated but is in no way expected. We would ask if this could be confirmed prior to the day so alternative eating arrangements can be made.
What happens if you’re ill on the day?
We don't like to let you down, so this is scenario is unlikely. However, we have a trusted network of videographers who can step in if needed. Your coverage is always protected.
Are you insured?
Yes. We are fully insured for public liability and professional equipment.
How do we secure our date?
A signed contract and a booking fee secure your date in the calendar.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. This is a third of the total price. This is deducted from your final balance.
When is the final balance due?
The remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. We are happy for payments to be split to make things easier.
Can we meet you before booking?
Absolutely, we offer video calls or in‑person chats so you can get a feel for my approach before making a decision.
Do you visit the venue beforehand?
If it’s a new venue for us, we will contact the venue and visit in advance, check the layout and take some test shots.
How do you work with shy or camera‑nervous couples?
It is common for most couples feel this way at first, but we keep things relaxed, natural, and as discreet as possible, so you can just enjoy your day.
Can we send you inspiration videos?
Yes. It’s helpful to understand what you love. We’ll use your ideas as inspiration while keeping your film unique to you.
Will you speak to us throughout the day or blend into the background?
We will aim to be in the background so you can fully engage and enjoy your day, but we are smiley and approachable so will endeavour to provide warmth and interactions when required.
Do you offer engagement shoots?
Yes, they’re a great way to get comfortable on camera before the big day. This can be arranged as an add-on.
Can we add extra hours on the day?
Of course. If things run later than planned, extra coverage can be added.
Do you offer same‑day edits?
No. We prefer to use all the time we have to craft your film with great care.
Can we add guest messages or interviews?
Yes, these can be included.
